Our Growing Method

The reishi used in all Mikei products are grown using natural wood log cultivation. This method was pioneered by the Mayuzumi family of Japan in the 1970s.

The entire process, from culturing the Mayuzumi strain to harvesting and then drying, takes an entire year.

Although the process is labour intensive, it yields the highest quality of red reishi.
